First Glenwood Springs Tram Ride

We definitely live in a beautiful place! We decided to take the tram during Music on the Mountain. The kids and I had a fantastic time on the ride up, playing on the top, & then of course on the ride down.

Zander would get so excited when a tram car would pass us!

Marion Gulch

We went on a fun new hike today with the Allen's up Marion Gulch and had a great time!

Friendships are Blessings

I have always been lucky to find good friends wherever I have lived, from living away for college and now, having a family. During all the times before now, I have lived somewhere close to family and could always call on them if help was needed even if they lived an hour away, that has all changed.
Today while on a little hike with my kids and a New friend and her kids I realized how BLESSED I am to have already made such good friendships that I could call up several women in our ward if I had an emergency and needed help in any way.
I truly know that my Father in Heaven loves me, blessing us with a wonderful ward family is just one of the ways he shows his love.
“We are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other. Those of us who are old need you who are young, and hopefully, you who are young need some of us who are old...We need deep and satisfying and loyal friendships with each other. These friendships are a necessary source of sustenance. We need to renew our faith every day. We need to lock arms and help build the kingdom so that it will roll forth and fill the whole earth.”

Simple Words With a Strong Message

Every once in a while a hymn during sacrament meeting will really get my attention & today was one of those times. I do not recall singing hymn 247, We Love Thy House O God before and while singing, it really gave me a sweet feeling of comfort.

  1. 1. We love thy house, O God,
    Wherein thine honor dwells.
    The joy of thine abode
    All earthly joy excels.
  2. 2. It is the house of prayer,
    Wherein thy servants meet,
And thou, O Lord, art there,
    Thy chosen flock to greet.
  3. 3. We love the word of life,
The word that tells of peace,
    Of comfort in the strife,
    Of joys that never cease.
  4. Text: William Bullock, 1797-1874
    Music: Leroy J. Robertson, 1896-1971. (c) 1948 IRI

I really love the last 2 lines of this beautiful hymn. We chose to come to earth knowing we would have great joy as well as trials along the way. I am especially grateful for the comfort given to me during my times of strife & I am so blessed to be full of joy in my life!

Family Fun

We love having visitors and this week we were lucky enough to have Pops, Yamma, Uncle Cody, Aunt Paige, Maeley, & Aylah . We had fun playing in the pool, and hiking up Grizzly Creek, and of course Tyson's baptism.

Tyson's Baptism

Today was an AMAZING day! I can hardly believe that our oldest boy is old enough to be baptized. Tyson has been excited for months to become a sustained member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As his baptism date has gotten closer he has been learning more and more about receiving the Holy Ghost and making covenants with his Heavenly Father. We are so proud of Tyson for the decisions that he makes and are blessed to be his parents.

Tyson was baptized in Glenwood Springs CO on August 3rd by his dad. He was confirmed by his Dad, Pops, & Uncle Cody.

We are so glad that Pops & Yamma, Aunt Paige & Uncle Cody, Maeley & Ayhlah were able to be here for Tyson's big day!

Tyson I want you to know that you are an amazing example to your little brothers and sister as well as everyone else around you including Dad & I. We love you so much and hope that you will always know that.
