Lake Powell Our Last Day

Packed and heading to the dock for the drive home. As we were headed in the storm hit and we had a fun rainy trip over to the boat ramp. Always an adventure!!

It’s raining it’s pouring, hurry and get the cover on!!! Pop’s, Yamma & I were soaked which always makes for a cozy drive home.

Just outside of Kanab we came upon this site???? As we are waiting we find out that this Sysco truck thought that this narrow, 2 lane highway on a curve would be a perfect place to make a U-Turn. Needless to say a different driver was brought in and we eventually got on our way. Have I said, Always and ADVENTURE?!

Lake Powell Day 5

 

Today we woke up and decided to hike to the arches. I was super excited to try out the baby backpack that I have had for 3 years, yes 3 years and this is the inaugural hike. Chloe seemed to like it but I think enjoyed having free rein of pulling my hair the most. And the adventure hike begins!

The first little critter we saw & caught was Horny the Horny Toad. Pops caught the first one of two, I caught the second one with Chloe on my back which I thought was pretty  impressive if I do say so myself. I love that Chloe is not afraid of anything she is one curious little girl.

Parker was my hiking buddy throughout the morning. We had a great time talking, looking at all the different bushes and animal tracks just taking our time.

Dad surprised us by showing up with Uncle Cody today which was a Great Surprise for all of us!!! Apparently Pops & Yamma, Cody & Paige all new about this for several days and they did a Great job keeping the Secret!

Parker had caught a BIG catfish and as it was being pulled in the line broke, Parker was just excited to have caught a fish!

Tyson was next to catch a catfish but his stayed on the line. Pops told the boys if they caught a fish he would kiss it and he did.
