Boot Camp Comes To An End

What an amazing journey these past 10 weeks have been for me! As I have been thinking back on my life, accomplishing this program is definitely high up on the list. The past 10 weeks have been full of workouts that I have never tried before, workouts that made me feel like throwing up, lots of laughing because that is what I do when in pain while trying to keep going, muscle building, Adjusting my food intake with great menus to reference to, slip ups, getting back on track, ups & downs emotionally, encouragement from family(Parker being my biggest fan,) & so much more.

I have figured out the key to enjoying exercise again and it is, VARIETY(at least for me.) I will still continue to workout on the elliptical several times a week but for my other workouts I will try to always be changing things up. During the 30 Boot Camp workouts that I did not 1 was the same. By doing this my muscles were always being worked differently which helped my body to change as much as it did. As I had mentioned before, Parker was my biggest fan. Parker was always so excited to go to Boot Camp and watch me workout. I could always count on looking over at him to see his huge smile and thumbs up that he would give to me. Parker would always ask me how my workout was and I would often times reply, “it was a hard workout.” His reply would usually be,”Mom, sometimes workouts are hard, good job.” Parker has also been my teacher and will have me stretch at home by following his moves. I love having my kids involved and plan to keep involving them by going on walks in the morning, playing outside, riding bikes, & eating good nutritious food so that they can learn from this young age how important it is to be healthy!
