Give Thanks!

As I was washing my dishes today I was feeling a bit stressed with everything that has gone on during the past couple months. I was letting myself focus on my kids constantly being sick with something or another and then I kept going over the accident that happened 2 weeks ago. As I was starting to feel sorry for myself I looked at my window to see the words Give Thanks! I am so grateful that I had put that in my window this morning with no idea that I would have needed it so much later the same day.

I realized that I have not thanked my Heavenly Father enough lately for all the good that I have in my life. Although my kids seem to be sick a lot, nothing is critical. I am so thankful that Steve & I were able to come out of our accident with only bruises and a broken bone. Even more grateful that our little boy growing inside of me was unharmed. I am thankful for our children. I am thankful for Steve’ job. I am thankful that Steve is able to continue going to school. I am thankful to have the opportunity to stay home with our kids. I am thankful to all the family, friends, & ward members that have helped us in a time of need.

There are many more things that I am thankful for but most of all I am thankful that I have the faith needed to know that Heavenly Father will ONLY allow trials (big or small) in my life if I can handle them. I truly believe that 1 of the many blessings that I have been given, is to be happy no matter what the circumstances might be. That being said I do have my bad days but I am glad that I can bounce back quickly.

“You need never be discouraged or afraid. The way through
difficulties has always been prepared for you and you
will find it if you exercise faith”

Resolutions Continued

Parker reminded me this morning that we forgot to make goals for his new baby brother. What were we thinking? I asked Parker if he would like to make some goals for his brother when he gets here and he gave me one of my favorite Parker answers, “Sure.”

Baby Brothers Goals
At first he wanted him to not pull hair and learn to ride a bike but I mentioned he probably would not be able to accomplish those goals just yet. As he thought for a few minutes this is what he came up with and they are perfect!

1. Love his new family
2. Smile a lot

Now the Hudson Family Goals are complete. Thank you Parker for being
such a Great big brother!!!
