Happy Day

Today started out with a conversation that I did not think I would have for a long time, and I thought it would be with Chloe at that. So as Tyson was about to get dressed I said “you need to wear pants today because it is so cold.” Tyson told me that he was going to wear shorts so we went back and forth a few times and he finally says,  “fine mom, but I am wearing shorts under my pants.” Thinking back on it now I probably should have just let him but I didn’t so, the next thing he told me was that he would roll up his pants to be shorts if he got hot at school. I actually laughed and told him what a great thinker he is, which got me a BIG SMILE!

Poor Tyson was having quite the morning today. We have my nephew staying with us and he tends to sleep in so I called the neighbors to see if Tyson could walk to the bus stop with them. After getting off the phone I let Tyson know that he would be walking to the bus without me today and instant Tyson Tears appeared (seriously he has had the biggest tears since the day he was born.) So I told him that I would walk him to the corner but that I would not be able to stay until the bus came today. He seemed to be fine with that. As it is time to leave I bundled Chloe up since it was only 38 degrees outside, left Parker on the couch watching cartoons and walked Tyson to the corner. Again the tears because I was going to watch him cross the road not cross with him. As he sticks his hand out for me we cross the road and then he was perfectly content to stay at the bus stop without me there today. I must admit, it makes me feel really GREAT to know that my little guy still needs me that much. I love that he wants to hold my hand wile crossing the road and gives me a kiss before getting on the bus. So blessed to be Tysons Mom!

As the day went on Parker and his cousin Jaxson played and played. I am amazed watching the two of them, it is like they have been Best Friends forever when in reality they have probably only seen each other 5 times for a few hours each time. Although I know his parents are really missing him, I have to admit we are having a lot of fun having him stay with us for a few days. Chloe has also been following them everywhere they go and for the most part they have been really great to let her play with them. My kids make me so HAPPY!!!
