  1. Cooking healthier tip: My sister-in-law just gave me an awesome baking tip the other night and it's too good to keep a secret! I don't know if you guys do boutiful baskets but both she and I do and in the winter we end up with a TON of squash! She takes hers and purees it and puts it in freezer jam jars. She then pulls it out one jar at a time and leaves it in the fridge for when she needs it. Then when she is baking she cuts the fat ingredient (butter, shortening, oil) in half and substitues the squash. (Ex. recipe calls for one cup butter - use 1/2c. butter and 1/2c. squash) She did it with cinnamon rolls the other night and you could barely tell there was a difference! They were so moist! She says you can do the same thing with pumpkin or applesauce but applesauce is her least favorite because of a little film it leaves.
Anyway, hope that helps some! Cause no one wants to give up sweets ;) Congratulations on the new little guy on the way! Hope things are going well for you guys. :)
