PB

Every once in awhile, a spoonful of peanut butter just sounds good. Tonight was just that night, Yummy! My spoonful was probably to big, but what's done is done.

Boot Camp Week 4 Results (a bit late)

So I am a few days late posting my results from last week because Life just got in the way, at least that is what I am telling myself. I decided today that I haven’t posted results yet because they were not the results (gained 2 pounds) that I wanted to see. I am working harder and I am back on track this week and here are the results for last week!

Pounds lost - 2+ - Total 5lbs

Inches lost - 2 -  Total 38.5

Bad Day On My Boot Camp Voyage!

As I was eating a piece of toasted cheese today I realized that, toasted cheese is not exactly on the menu! Then I began thinking back to everything that I had put in my mouth today and remember, it is currently only 4:30. The morning started out right with oatmeal, pears, and milk then the day went down the tubes. The kids and I headed out the door to go dress shopping and needless to say after trying on several dresses I just did not find one that I really liked. My sweet kids wanted me to get a couple of them because they said I looked pretty, maybe I should be listening to them more than my inner voice of nothing looks good enough yet.

As we were starting home the kids asked for pizza in the car like we did with Dad once, I saw a Little Caesars and thought, what the heck, that’s when a Cheese Pizza right out of the oven ended up in the car. I saw the pizza and thought to myself I will have 1 piece because it won’t hurt me in the long run. one turned into 2 and a crappy feeling in my stomach, but did I stop there………….NO.

Next on my menu today was 2 mini Peanut Butter Eggs, a handful of Starburst Jellybeans, and most recently the dreaded but oh so yummy Toasted Cheese! I literally said to myself out loud, “What am I doing, I feel like crap eating this stuff!” That is when I realized I was eating crappy for a few reasons. As I said before I went dress shopping and because I did not feel good about how I was looking in the dresses I was trying on I took pity on myself. I believe the other reason is that Steve is going to be gone for several weeks and I basically just took my stress, that I did not think I had, out on crappy food. Note to self, Do Not Fall Into that Trap Again.

I know that I am on a Journey and I will have good days and bad days on my quest for a HEALTHY LIFE. I hope that I will be able to identify when I am stressed or just having a bad day before I turn to food like I did today. Just as I was writing this I remembered a session I had with my Therapist when I was being treated for my eating disorder. I had been given an assignment to come up with a list of easy, accessible things that I could do if and when I had the urge to throw up. I have decided I need to do that again. Here are a few things that I have come up with.

  1. Talk to my Hubby or someone else if he is not available.
  2. Go outside and play with my kids.
  3. Go for a walk or bike ride.
  4. Work in the yard.
  5. Read back in my journal I kept off and on during my Eating Disorder Therapy.
  6. Play the piano.
  7. Sew something
  8. Write down my thoughts and feelings at that moment.

I am starting fresh tonight and I’m excited for a great workout in the morning!!

Boot Camp Week 4

Week 4 means a new PHASE………………………………….CARDIO

Wow is all I have to say about the first day of Phase 2!!! I knew that we would be doing CARDIO but I didn’t realize that we would be doing cardio along with dumb bells, resistance bands, or a medicine ball the entire time. I believe that would have to be the hardest cardio workout that I have ever done. As we were working out today our instructor mentioned that this is basically a warm up for what is to come during the next few weeks. Really, this is a warm-up!

For Phase 2 we are supposed to use the menu 6 days out of the week which, if you do the math gives 1 day of freedom. I will be doing 3 days of intense cardio/weight training and then I am supposed to do 2 cardio sessions on my own.

I was weighed and measured today and although I did have loses,  most areas  were very small for the most part. I just have to tell my self that there will be weeks of great losses and weeks of small but it is all progress towards a new Healthy Life!!

We Love Great Granny!

As we were headed to Piano lessons Tyson asked if he could have a picture with Great Granny and I told him if she is home then definitely he can have a picture with her. I just love that he thought to have a picture taken with her all on his own. Luckily She was home and I was able to capture these wonderful picture with Great Granny and my Kids!

Parker’s 3

Our Sweet Parker is 3-years-old!!! Parker is an amazing little guy and we love him so much. He is always on the move, exploring, listening, watching everything that is done around him and he absorbs it all!!

We started out his CELEBRATION Sunday night with a Pizza Party! Making Pizza is one of Parkers favorite things to do, he even has his own little rolling pin. We had a great evening with family, eating, visiting, playing, and celebrating Parker! Uncle Cody and Aunt Paige got him a T-ball set that he absolutely loves!

When I asked Parker what type of cake he wanted he said a Headphone Cake. I had to think on that one for awhile but in the end this is what I came up with and he loved it.

Started out the day going to Boot Camp with Mom. Parker is such a great support to me and is always encouraging me to work hard. He loves to watch me working out and is always smiling at me and giving me thumbs up when I look over to see him.

Next we headed to the park for a Picnic. Parker had been wanting to go to the park for a long time and it just happened to be Wonderful weather on his Birthday. We had a great time playing and feeding the Ducks. He called it his Birthday Picnic!!!

We then went to dinner at Golden Corral. Parker enjoyed mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, & pizza for starters. I thought it would be a fun surprise to have the employees sing to him, not the reaction I thought we would get. As soon as they started singing he clapped once and then turned to Chloe and and ignored them the best he could. As soon as they walked away he started crying. I could not get him to calm down and when that happens with Parker the vomit usually comes next, and it did. I was really glad that the bowl of rolls was on the table because He filled it within a half inch from the top. Poor kid, who would have thought a birthday song could scare someone so bad. He still wanted to open presents after so that is what we did. After Presents we went to Wal-mart so he could use his gift card and then home for more cake and ice-cream.

I asked Steve what his favorite thing about Parker’s birthday was and he loved that every time someone would tell him Happy Birthday Parker would say Thank you. The other thing was, every time he was asked how old he was Parker would say I am going to be 6.

I asked Parker a few questions and these are the answers that he gave

Favorite food? Pizza

Favorite color? Green

Favorite animal? kung Zhu (hamster toy he bought)

Favorite book? Toy Story

Favorite movie? Toy Story 3

Favorite song? Love The Temple

We LOVE Parker so much and are so Grateful and Blessed to have him in our Family!

Boot Camp Week 3 Blessing in Disguise

Another great week has begun and it started with the van having a dead battery. At first I was a little frustrated but I had to get to boot camp so I pulled out the jogging stroller. It was still a bit chilly in this morning so I bundled up the kids and we headed out. Twenty minutes later we made it to Boot Camp and I was really happy that the Van did not start. It felt great getting out in the fresh air and was a great warm-up before starting our 2 minute interval workout  for 45 minutes. If you have not ever tried them before I would highly suggest it! When it was time to head home it was a bit warmer so no coats, but we had a great walk home in the Sunshine!!
